Planzer Homeservice Geschichten

We have been handling the storage, fine distribution and installation of the technologically sophisticated appliances for the premium brand SWISSCAVE since 2020. We deliver these to the Planzer warehouse in Spreitenbach, check them according to the strictest criteria, record them in our electronic logistics system and store them appropriately.

The electronic recording gives SWISSCAVE an overview of, and access to, all stock levels around the clock. The company places orders with us for the delivery of SWISSCAVE products throughout Switzerland as orders come in via the online shop.

From the moment the order is placed, we combine our knowledge of warehouse logistics with our transport expertise and our competence in delivering to end customers. We use environmentally friendly rail transport for the main part of the journey of the SWISSCAVE products. We work at night to avoid traffic jams, detours and inhospitable weather conditions, which additionally makes a valuable contribution to a sustainable economy.

Our Planzer Homeservice vehicles are ready and waiting at the 13 Planzer-owned railway centres in Switzerland, from where they take over the goods for fine distribution for the last mile, i.e. to the curb or the wine connoisseur or cigar lover’s end destination. Our delivery specialists are smartly dressed and deal with customers with all the necessary respect. After all, you only get one chance to make a first, but also a last, impression.

SWISSCAVE customers use our Homedelivery+ service for nine out of ten appliance deliveries. Accordingly, we deliver ordered wine cabinets or humidors to the place where they will be used, i.e. the living room, the kitchen, the pantry or the cellar. ‘SWISSCAVE products are prototypical for the advantages of Homedelivery+. Everything we do directly benefits the SWISSCAVE brand’, says Planzer Homeservice Manager Heinz Wiedemeier.

To do so, we dispatch two qualified employees who not only transport the appliance safely to the customer, but also unpack it, set it up and put it into operation. Depending on the delivery option selected, our staff take the packaging material and the disused old model with them and dispose of them in accordance with the rules of the circular economy. As a special service, we can also switch the door hinges over beforehand or on site, if desired.

‘Their smart appearance and the transparent communication with our end customers were decisive factors for us in deciding to work together with Planzer Homeservice’, says Fabio Bühler, Head of Sales & Marketing at SWISSCAVE. For example, SWISSCAVE customers can use the Homeservice app to select the desired delivery date and a suitable two-hour delivery window, track the delivery vehicle in real time, clarify the parking and delivery situation via a hidden chat window and evaluate the delivery after the service has been completed. 

As part of our cooperation agreement, SWISSCAVE offers its customers the use of our headquarters for customer care issues. Here, our end customers can clarify questions about their shipment or obtain other information about the delivery of their SWISSCAVE product. The special feature: our customers don’t get stuck in robot-controlled hotlines with endless loops and music, but can reach out to us personally by email or phone, on weekdays for a twelve-hour period.
